Brave Young Teens

BYT is a teen council for teenage patients and their siblings. These individuals create community outreach projects and fundraise to support their programs

Socialization with peers dramatically decreases when teens are hospitalized. The teen council gives them a way to interact with other teenagers

Hero Club - A BYT Initiative

The Hero Club is an Alliance For Kids program that was started by the Brave Young Teen Council.  The council is comprised of patients and siblings at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital. This club will provide hospitalized children and a guest with seats at sporting events throughout the state of Florida. Our hope is that professional teams will partner with Alliance For Kids, as other Florida sports arenas have, to help facilitate this special experience for the children.

Vision

  • Create a 10 seat section for 5 hospitalized children accompanied by an adult.

  • A player meets with the children in their section before the game starts.

  • VIP parking for the hospitalized child.

  • A Jumbotron shot of the Hero Club section.

  • Bags for each child which includes a T-shirt, food voucher water bottle, snack, pen & something to have autographed.
